#24 butternut (Juglans cinerea L.)

Butternut is a medium sized species, growing to 25 meters in height. The wood from butternut can be used in cabinet making and in turnery. Finding a healthy butternut tree is becoming increasingly rare as a result of the butternut canker which is eventually fatal to the tree.
